What to Bring

Personal Belongings at Hospitalization

In general, prepare the following. Write your name on each belonging without fail.

1. Pajama

A hospital gown is available for rent at JPY70 a day (excluding tax, to be changed twice a week) if you wish. Please submit “Application for rental hospital gown” to your Nurse in Charge. If the gown becomes unnecessary, please consult.

2. Clothes (underwear, gown, etc.)

Because you need to go out of your bedroom for examinations, etc., prepare something you can slip into.

3. Daily Necessities (towels, indoor shoes, tissue papers, toiletries,
  writing utensils, etc.)

  • -Prepare something not slippery and safe for indoor shoes. You can purchase simple shoes to prevent fall at the shop.
  • -For patients to undergo an operation, necessary belongings will be explained at each outpatient ward.

4. Dining Utensils (chopsticks, spoon, teacup, etc.)

Avoid pottery and glassware. Prepare straws or a cup with a straw if necessary.

5. Prepare a seal so that you can express your consent in various written
  consents during hospitalization.

Patients are requested not to bring in valuables. On the other hand, you can use a drawer with a lock installed in a bedside cupboard. If you lose a lock, you will be requested to pay JPY1000. You can also purchase daily necessities and items necessary for surgery such as T-bandages, stomach bands, etc., at the shop (next to the elevator on the first floor) in the hospital.

6. Documents to submit at hospitalization

  • -“Guarantee for Hospitalization” (Submit to the hospitalization reception counter on the first floor.)
